GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Lacrosse Magazine will release its annual college preseason rankings and players of the year in its January issue. But who do you think will reign supreme in 2011? Shawn Beer of Davenport University is up for the MCLA D2 Pre-Season Player of the Year honor.
Lacrosse Magazine has narrowed it down to four finalists in each division and is conducting a fan poll to help shape the debate from here. These polls will be pulled Monday, Nov. 29 at 5 p.m. Eastern. Results will be published in the January issue of LM, alongside our picks.
Shawn was a pre-season candidate last season before the junior went out and posted 70 goals and 25 assists while leading Davenport to their second straight appearance in the National Semifinals. Beer steps into his final season at DU looking to help the Panthers clinch their first ever national championship
