2011 Season Summary
2011 U16 Fall Field is for 1996 and 1997. Highly skilled/sized 1998 are welcome too.
Season runs Saturday September 3 (Labour Day) until Thanksgiving weekend. Games are played on Saturdays for 5 weeks Sep 3,10,17,24, Oct 1 and then the Provincials are Thanksgiving weekend Saturday October 8 and Sunday October 9. No games Thanksgiving Monday.
Practices were weekly starting the first weekend of August.
Same format as spring where you come together for two or three games usually in one location.
The 2010 locations were Beaches, Burlington, Peterborough, St. Catharines, Kitchener and Brampton.
The 2011 locations were Kitchener, Huntsville, Peterborough, Beaches, Burlington and Brampton.
There is no east and west split. There are no divisions A, B, C D. It is one big loop. Provincials were broken into A and B Divisions in 2010 and A,B and C Divisions in 2011.
2010 teams were: Barrie, Brampton, Caledon, Innisfil, KW, Mimico, Oakville, Orangeville, Peterborough, Six Nations, St. Catharines and Toronto.
2011 teams were: Barrie, Brampton, Burlington #1 & #2, Centre Wellington, Halton Hills, Huntsville, K-W, Mimico #1 & #2, Newmarket, Oakville, Orangeville, Peterborough, Six Nations and Toronto Beaches.
We take the maximum 23 players to allow for players to attend their first priority fall sport such as hockey.
